Hebridean Blue

from £8.25

Semi-soft Blue Cheese
Producer: Isle of Mull Cheese
Region: Isle of Mull

A bold blue with strength and bite, but with a delicious fresh creaminess too.

Hebridean Blue is made by the Reade family at Sgriob-ruadh farm on the Isle of Mull. Theirs is the only dairy farm on the island, where they make cheese with the unpasteurised milk from their hardy, healthy, island cows fed on grass and whisky grains from the Tobermory Distillery.

Isle of Mull Cheese strive to keep their cheese-making process as natural as possible; the flavours in each batch are influenced by the environment, the animals, and each stage of the process - meaning that each cheese is allowed to really sing.

Tŷ Caws recommends: Serve with sweet white wine or dessert wine.
