Tŷ Caws is the home of Great British Cheese.

We sell a range of cheese and accompaniments at our Cardiff city centre Cheese Shop & Bar, as well as online and at the weekly Cardiff farmers’ markets. We also produce our own range of cheese. And we occasionally take part in events and food festivals further afield.

We’re currently looking for two people to join our small, friendly team of cheese-lovers!

Cheese Shop Supervisor

Do you have experience of working with food and drink and excellent customer service?

This role involves supporting the management and running of our Castle Arcade Shop & Cheese Bar in the centre of Cardiff.

You’ll learn loads about cheese, get to taste lots (the fun part!), and occasionally visit cheese producers across the UK.

Full training will be given from an expert team with two decades of experience in the cheese industry.

Start date: May 2025 (can be flexible)
Hours: Approximately 24-30 hours a week
Days: Wednesday to Saturday, with one late 10pm finish a week (Thursday or Friday)

Part-time Cheesemonger

Are you passionate about cheese and the local independent food scene?

This role mainly involves working on our stall at the weekly outdoor Cardiff Farmers Markets, with occasional work at our city centre Cheese Shop & Bar.

You’ll learn loads about cheese, get to taste lots (the fun part!), and occasionally visit cheese producers across the UK.

Full training will be given from an expert team with two decades of experience in the cheese industry.

This role can be physically demanding and requires excellent customer service skills and confidence to work independently at the markets (after an initial training period).

You must be aged 25+ (insurance purposes) and able to drive our cheese van to the markets.

Start date: April 2025 (can be flexible)
Hours: Approximately 18-21 hours a week
Days: Friday and Saturday with occasional Sundays, plus a prep day in the shop either Wednesday or Thursday
